I don’t go to work anymore. I work from home (trying to start my own business). But I still get angry when I don’t get coffee when I want.

flashback: need gluesticks

Drawn July 14, 2006

I tried to use one of my gluesticks the other day. It was all shriveled up and hard. I was going to make a joke here, but it was too inappropriate.

Instead you should go visit my new blog!

comic - if our heads weren't so big

we could reach...

(re-post)

I know I’ve sucked at getting new comics made recently. Sorry.

featured: jen & daniel from 'a thousand words'

duvetcover18

I fell in love with this duvet cover as soon as I saw it over on IHeart Organizing. Turns out, Jen from A Thousand Words created it from her son’s, artwork!

I’m going to give you the basic rundown of what she did, but be sure to visit her blog for the real step-by-step!

duvetcover06

First, Jen collected Daniel’s drawings and scanned them into the computer.

(BTW, these are Pokémon that Daniel invented, how awesome!)

duvetcover04

Jen cleaned them up on the computer. See her blog for details on this.

She then printed them out much bigger than the originals.

And traced them onto the duvet cover with a fabric pen.

And traced…

and traced some more…

and in the end, I think it was totally worth it! This is such a cool way to display kids’ art (or your own!) and makes such a neat personal item!

If you have kids and do this for them you probably get 72,000,000 awesome points. That’s how many points I would give my mom, anyhow.

I don’t know if I’m up for doing a whole duvet cover (besides, Daniel’s art is better than mine, and it’s not as cute when you’re 25 and draw stick figures all over your duvet cover), but I’m thinking I’d like to do a coffee cup border on some pillowcases! Maybe draw a spider or two onto Anthony’s pillowcase… Okay, that might be evil of me, but there are some really good possibilities!

Visit Jen!

What do you think? Would you be an awesome parent and do this with your kids’ art? How about drawing yourself a duvet cover?

Drawn July 12, 2006

I have a donut craving now.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

WIP - sketches

eef pencil

Kind of enjoying this sketchier style right now. Playing with shading is fun too; I’m not too great at it but that’s kind of the point!

Thinking I should try some digital shading. Would probably be easier with a tablet though.

comic - i hate spiders pt 2

(Part ONE here)

spider comic part 2

I swear, for every spider you meet, there are at least 10 more hiding from you. I think this spider has a pretty big family. And I think they live in my utility closet.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
