I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about this yet! I was SUPER excited and flattered when Jen asked me to design her wedding brunch invites. They are having brunch on the beach with family the day after their wedding, and Jen wanted something a little less traditional. I’ve edited out all of the actual information so you can’t crash her brunch, but I think you get the basic idea!
Jen also wanted a custom thank you card for her bridal party, so I drew up some doppelgangers of Jen and her fiance and edited the brunch invite a bit. These also were edited to have each person’s name on them, but you get the idea on this one as well!
Jen has been great to work with, and printed these herself–which we had some issues with, but finally got worked out. Printing on home printers is really hard (I know because I did bridal shower invites for a friend, which were less complicated than these, and were still impossible to get lined up!), but thankfully Jen was patient while I figured out how to get her something that would print properly (thank god for PDFs!) and I think she used some wizardry on her printer, and ta-da! They printed!
This was a lot of fun, and while it pulled me out of my comfort zone (of stick figures!) I think they turned out great–and more importantly, so does Jen!
