Drawn July 14, 2006 I tried to use one of my gluesticks the other day. It was all shriveled up and hard. I was going to make a joke here, but it was too inappropriate. Instead you should go visit my new blog! I’ve been working on getting my portfolio together as well as making myself a personal blog. Why do I need another blog? Well, I really want to keep eef-ink as illustrations and comics, but I also want to blog about crafts and traveling and running a business. A few posts may overlap, but there will be a lot of separate content as well. I wanted my websites to be different, but to coordinate with each other, so I’ve been working on doing that. I am loving the Clear Line theme, thinking I might eventually switch eef-ink over to it as well… But probably not anytime soon since it’s more work than I feel like doing right now. My illustration blog, eef-ink.com Where you are right now, so you’re silly if you click that link. eef-ink is run off Atahualpa right now, if you’re interested. I really like it, however, Atahualpa isn’t very compatible with WordPress networks, so I can only use it on one site which is why I used Clear Line on the others. My portfolio. I’ve also got pricing info up for blog design, so if you are interested, check it out! My personal blog (under construction). Follow me! I just finished this yesterday, I’m still tweaking, but it’s about done! What do you think? I want them all to “go together” without being the same. I may change the banner on my portfolio since I feel like it’s too similar to eef-ink, but I do like the colors. I want to use at least a few of the same elements on each site, right now they all use the font Shark Random Funnyness which I really like. I’m also a big fan of Arial as far as main text, so I’ve used that on all of them. I try and use some of the same colors too, but mix them in with others so that the sites don’t look exactly the same. Do you have multiple sites? If so, do you coordinate, or try and make them all very different? Do you think I’m crazy for having so many sites?Hey guys! I re-listed some items in my Etsy. If you want something, now is the time to grab it because I’m down to the last few prints and very few of the other items. Once these are gone I probably won’t be getting more, so grab them while you can! Use coupon code HAPPYHOLIDAYS2011 to get 25% off!I fell in love with this duvet cover as soon as I saw it over on IHeart Organizing. Turns out, Jen from A Thousand Words created it from her son’s, artwork! I’m going to give you the basic rundown of what she did, but be sure to visit her blog for the real step-by-step! First, Jen collected Daniel’s drawings and scanned them into the computer. (BTW, these are Pokémon that Daniel invented, how awesome!) Jen cleaned them up on the computer. See her blog for details on this. She then printed them out much bigger than the originals. And traced them onto the duvet cover with a fabric pen. And traced… and traced… and traced some more… and in the end, I think it was totally worth it! This is such a cool way to display kids’ art (or your own!) and makes such a neat personal item! If you have kids and do this for them you probably get 72,000,000 awesome points. That’s how many points I would give my mom, anyhow. I don’t know if I’m up for doing a whole duvet cover (besides, Daniel’s art is better than mine, and it’s not as cute when you’re 25 and draw stick figures all over your duvet cover), but I’m thinking I’d like to do a coffee cup border on some pillowcases! Maybe draw a spider or two onto Anthony’s pillowcase… Okay, that might be evil of me, but there are some really good possibilities! Visit Jen!What do you think? Would you be an awesome parent and do this with your kids’ art? How about drawing yourself a duvet cover?want to be featured on my blog? contact me! (updated version of this comic) |
