Welcome to my newest hobby! I figured that making lino cuts would be a good skill for me to have, since I intend to print things like note cards and sketch books and all that. I didn’t know much about it, just saw the supplies at Hobby Lobby and decided to give it a go. It’s not like my art is that complicated, so how hard could it be to cut?

This hurt more than you would think, those suckers go deep!
So, this design actually didn’t work out that well, I thought I could be lazy and cut out the “black” (meaning the lines) and do a negative print, but then I didn’t like it and it was a waste of time and blood!

You can see here, the ones printed on the white paper were from the block I was cutting above. I wasn’t very happy with the outcome, so I made the other lino cut. It turned out much better and is really cute! (at least I think so) You don’t get photos of the cutting process of that lino since I was mad and bleeding.

I also made coffee cup lino prints! I like them a lot. I would like them more if I hadn’t carved “coffee” frontwards on the cup, which caused it to print backwards (so I had to carve it off). Still turned out pretty cute though, and if I hadn’t told you, you would still be impressed with my mad lino cut printmaking skillz.
If you would like to own some of my awesome lino cut prints you can buy them on Etsy. They are stupid-cheap at only $2.50 including US shipping. Or you could make your own, but I don’t recommend it if you faint at the sight of blood*. Or if you don’t enjoy stabbing yourself.

*Please note that my prints do not have blood on them. I kept my bleeding controlled and would never sell anything I have bled on. Unless you want something with my blood on it, which will cost an additional $100+ to arrange. Please email me at eeflynn@gmail.com if you’re a sicko and are into that.

We were supposed to go do a ropes course on the Wank, but somehow that didn’t work out and Anthony and I decided to go to Farchant and hike the waterfall instead.
