Encinitas – Thus far!

Headed off to San Diego on Monday to see my Schnooks! (he loves that I call him that)
MONDAY

The plane ride was long. We got delayed in Fort Worth for some reason–I think they added another flight to ours, but it delayed us by about an hour. So when I got in it was about 1:00am local time (4:00 for me!).
First order of business was In-n-out. Anthony said this was the first thing I had to do, and that was fine by me since I hadn’t eaten in nearly 12 hours!

I am excited but sleepy!
It was so good!
TUESDAY

The next day we went down to the beach. Which, you know, is about 10 minutes from Anthony’s house.

We went to Pizza Port for lunch and got a pepperoni, pineapple, jalapeno pizza. It was actually really good! I had a spezi (coke and orange soda) and Anthony had a beer that was similar to a Guinness.
WEDNESDAY

Wednesday we went to some gardens… I can’t remember the name. They are pretty though!

I called my family and left a message on their answering machine telling them that I was thinking of them in the freezing cold midwest as I sat here and drank my coffee.

Look! It’s even a picture of me. Two photos of me in one post, which is amazing and unusual.
That night Anthony, Arnie and I went to see Shutter Island. We stopped at Rico’s for burritos beforehand; they were tasty! I should probably just make this a food blog with as much as I eat. =P Kind of like on the Travel Channel where they go different places and eat everything. Yeah, I could do that. (I probably won’t though)
The movie was okay. I figured out the twist really early though so I think that kind of ruined it. It also wasn’t nearly as scary as i thought it would be. I’m going to make Anthony watch The Crazies though, so maybe that will be scarier.
THURSDAY

On Thursday we went to Balboa Park. We found Japanese snacks!

Also, we saw model trains. Which Anthony loves.

Anthony said we had to get a tamale from a street vendor since I had never had one. It was tasty.

We also went to the air and space museum where we saw airplanes and stuff.

And Anthony flew an air plane simulator thing. He crashed the jet. BOOM!
Then we went in a simulator that moved (you know, the kind you get inside and they move depending on how you control them) and Anthony did about 23827328647232867 barrel rolls and we felt sick afterward.
So we went to In-n-Out.
Because that helps when you feel sick.
Today we haven’t done much yet! Just went for a jog and Anthony’s off to get some stuff for his job. He’s doing some temporary work right now. Tax stuff. Things with numbers. Things I don’t want to know about. =P
I think later we;re going to go walk around town and do stuff! Not sure what “stuff” is yet, but we’ll figure it out.
