    whenever I wear vintage I feel like I’m in costume… It just feels strange to me!

  I feel exactly the same. i just do not look good in the vintage styles most people are wearing these days. I’ll admit, they’re super cute, but I’d rather have a pair of new heels any day of the week, and i definitely prefer my jeans to skirts.

  I do however have an obsession with vintage furniture and decor. Seriously, Mid-Century modern is like a treasure hunt for me.

    Yeah! I see all these bloggers and they look cute, but me? Nope. The clothes don’t fit me right (I’m not hour-glassy) and the patterns just aren’t me. I can get into some 70′s stuff, since it’s more jeans and peasant blouses, or some early 80′s T’s and sweaters, but the 50′s and 60′s are not good decades for me. I love some 20′s styles (which work well on me) but wouldn’t wear them on a regular basis–maybe for a special event. But the cost of something THAT vintage is insane.
    I do love some vintage furniture too! And vintage jewelry. Those things work for me. =]
